TSET-Tulsabai
Somani Educational Trust
In 1978 Tulsabai Somani Educational Trust was established by Dr.Satu M.Somani
in memory of his late mother. It was originally maintained to help four
needy local high school students to pursue their higher education. Over
the years it incorporated many educational activities to motivate the
young minds of the region near Hingoli, Maharashtra. The Trust awards
a national young scientist in Neurology, Computer Science and in Medicine.
It also awards the winner of a local essay competition. The Trust is financially
possible through donations, which also support activities of local organizations
such as Mahila Samaj (Women's group), Kabir Balak Mandir (Children School),
a school for the blind, and a Local Library. It also provides a civic
award. Recently a school for children has also been established in Hingoli.
